Lost Type is a font foundry with a different spin. They have some really great looking fonts on a “pay what you want” cost basis. So you can pay $0, or as much as you think the font is worth. 100% of the sales go directly to the designer of the font. It’s a cool idea, that I hope takes off for these guys.
I’m excited to try out this new plugin by the impressive folks at Paravel. Their explanation describes it well enough…

Sure I can find out what fonts are being used on a site by going into web inspector or something similar, but that’s far too much work. With this bookmarklet all I have to do is click the bookmark then hover over the fonts I’m curious about. I love it!

Frank Chimero puts together this great write up on how to improve your designs by using proper typographic hierarchy. I love the simplicity and how he incrementally builds on his example throughout the post.
